Insurance for startups and business founders

From sole proprietorship to GmbH: assess insurance before launch.

Every startup is different

A salon, IT provider and manufacturer have different risks. We start with activities, legal form, staffing, customer contracts and growth plans.

Sole proprietorship or GmbH and AG?

For sole proprietors, recognition as self-employed determines the social-insurance position. Founders employed by a GmbH or AG are generally employees. This distinction affects accident insurance in particular.

Before the first order

Check liability certificates, declared activities, contract requirements and cover start. A quotation enquiry alone does not create cover.

Before the first hire

Clarify UVG jurisdiction, salary continuation, KTG and applicable collective agreements. Occupational pension obligations also need assessment against current conditions.

As your company grows

New activities, higher turnover, additional staff, new machinery and international orders should be declared or reviewed under the insurance contract.

Insurance requirements depend on activities, legal form, employment and any applicable collective agreement. Not every new business needs the same cover.

Frequently asked questions

Do all founders need liability and KTG?

No. Obligations and suitable cover depend on activities, legal form and employment.

Can I enquire before incorporation?

Yes. Planned activities, legal form and launch date are enough for an initial assessment.

Is there a fixed startup price?

A reliable price requires a risk assessment.
